I feel so blessed to have access to not only the basic necessities my kids need to thrive, but also so much more beyond that. So out of the gratitude I feel, I want to raise funds to go toward this mission of providing clean water to the Pokot in West Kenya. In addition to the clean drinking water that provides these communities with improved health, the wells dug by this project allow for the time that would have been spent walking to find water to be hauled back to the community to be used instead for caring for the family, working or going to school. Whether or not the marathon takes place in Detroit this year, I will be running a 5k on June 27th with my family and 13.1 miles on October 18th in support of this life-giving effort.
