INSIGHTS
Insights is an in-depth Bible study taught by our own Kensington women. Each week at Insights, the teacher shares their love of Jesus, reveals Biblical truths, and connects how it applies to our lives. Insights meets weekly for two hours, beginning with a large group teaching then breaking into small groups for discussion. Insights will be studying Old Testament Literature - The Pentateuch.
Suggested donation of $15 for materials. Childcare is available for some daytime programs. Optional donation is available to offset the cost of child care for those mothers who could be blessed by your support. Insights homework is available for pickup on the first day.
Insights resources, including study guides and teaching videos, are available at insightsbiblestudy.org.

ENCOUNTER
Encounter is a study which focuses on particular topics by identifying real needs or asking a question and exploring what the Bible says about it.
If a workbook is required, costs will vary by campus and study; you will be prompted during registration to purchase your workbook from Kensington and get it on the first day, or purchase it on your own.
Campus Encounter Studies
Birmingham and Orion: Jesus and Women by Kristi McLelland
In this study, we will journey together to discover how Jesus saw and treated women. Our guide, Kristi McLelland, has devoted her life to teaching biblical studies in seminary, particularly by taking her students through texts that give a clearer understanding of what was occurring in Jewish culture when Jesus interacted with women. Each week we will view a video teaching followed by discussion.
Birmingham: Led by Jenny Warns. This is a virtual study beginning September 26.
Orion: Led by Nicole McGlassion. This hybrid study will meet two times in person and use Zoom the remaining weeks. The first meeting will be in-person on September 15 at Kensington Orion.
Clinton Township and Troy: The Chosen Bible Study
This study uses the popular, groundbreaking series which explores the life of Jesus by powerfully portraying the person of Jesus through the eyes of those around Him. It also highlights notable Biblical characters and builds intriguing backstories and personalities. Whether you’re encountering Jesus for the first time or have been a lifelong follower, He shows us over and over that we have so much to learn by walking close to Him. There is meaning and purpose in a life that is in step with Him and you are chosen. Each week we will view a video teaching followed by discussion.
Clinton Township: Led by Tracey Henkel. This in-person study begins September 20.
Troy: Led by Patty Wernette. This in-person study begins September 14.
Traverse City: Get Out of Your Head by Jennie Allen
This study is a Biblical guide to discovering how to submit our minds to Christ because how we think shapes how we live. As we surrender every thought to Jesus, the promises of God flood our lives in profound ways. This study will help you identify the negative thought patterns that are keeping you stuck, understand the science behind why your thoughts can change your life, and recognize your God-given power to confront and overcome your toxic thoughts.
Lead by Jeannie Stevens. This in-person study begins September 21.
KMOMS
KMOMS is a diverse, supportive, nonjudgmental group of moms of school-aged children ranging from kindergarten to college. Join our community of moms as we navigate this exciting stage of life together. Since we strive to accommodate the many demands of our families, the Fall 2022 semester will meet one time a month at a different restaurant each month for a book study and social gathering.
Kensington Young Moms
Kensington Young Moms is a place for women to find fellowship, friendship, and grace. We will navigate the challenges of parenting with God as our guide.
The Well
The Well is a gathering place for women; a connection point where we live out our daily lives and responsibilities but have an encounter with Christ! Through sharing stories, biblical truths and providing intentional connection time, we create a safe (and fun!) place for women to gather and courageously reclaim their identity in Christ. We will also focus heavily on supporting those around us, reminding each other that God intended us to live in community (because we’re better together than we are alone - Romans 12:4-5). Meets on select Mondays from 7pm-8:30pm at Bridgewood Church (6567 Rattalee Lake Rd., Clarkston).
