Kensington Men's Ministries | Fall 2023

Iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17) and we become better men, husbands and dads. Everyone benefits when a man becomes a Godly man. This doesn’t happen with good intentions. It happens when men choose to commit. We have a lot of opportunities for men to engage. Not only do we have a weekly mid-sized group that meets at the church, but we have smaller groups that meet in various locations throughout the week. We also have groups for men who love to work on cars, or to hunt and fish, or to serve others while working on home projects.

Kensington Men

Kensington Men is a mid-size gathering of men that meet together for large-group teaching followed by small-group discussion. We dig into topics specifically picked for men. We enjoy hanging together, encouraging each other, learning about what God has for us as men, and how we can build a legacy through the spheres we influence in our neighborhoods, the nations and the next generations. Campus Studies
Clinton Twp: The Chosen Bible Study
This study uses the popular, groundbreaking series which explores the life of Jesus. The Chosen powerfully portrays the person of Jesus through the eyes of those around Him. We identify with the characters in this series as they exhibit recklessness, rough pasts, false religious piety, desperation for life-change, and ultimately, redemption. No matter where you’re at in your journey with Christ — whether you’re just encountering Him for the first time or have been a lifelong follower—Jesus shows us over and over that we have so much to learn by walking close to Him. There is meaning and purpose in a life that is in step with Him and you are chosen.

Orion Monday Nights: The Book of Jonah Study
At the end of the day, God is less concerned with what we do for Him than who we are in Him. Few figures illustrate that truth better than Jonah. Focused on the prophet rather than his prophecy, the story of Jonah gives us a picture of a man on the run due to his own selfish desires. Instead of showing mercy to his enemies, he determined to keep God's grace to himself rather than share it with those he considered undeserving. Can you relate? Pastor and author Eric Mason expands our vision to see that Jonah's story is our own. Eric reveals how God uses extraordinary circumstances to break our hearts of selfishness, convince us of His tender care, and unite our lives to His glory.

Orion Thursday Nights: The Spiral of Life by Loren Siffring, MD
The Spiral of Life is a discussion guide for men seeking to grow in faith through mentorship. This book is structured to be simple, memorable and transferrable. The Spiral will challenge you to join the adventure of faith, trusting God to come alive within your entire being through Jesus Christ. It will engage the following questions: How should we influence and be influenced by others? How do we learn from and have accountability with God? How do we join hands with others in fellowship and mutual accountability? What is our responsibility when intervening “to teach others also?"
