THIS TEAM IS FULL. This team will travel deep into the remote areas of Kenya to visit three children's homes among the Pokot people. The team is tasked with updating the nochild sponsorship information for 850 children. In addition, we will learn about the Pokot culture, meet and encourage the staff at each home, and spend time with the children, as the liason between the children and their sponsors. If you currently sponsor a child, or would like to do so in the future, this is a great trip to learn more about their lives, and possibly even meet your primary school child. Both men and women are needed for this team!
Cost of the trip is $4,355 with a non-refundable or transferable deposit of $400 due at application.
Located in northwestern Kenya, Pokot Outreach Ministry seeks to address the spiritual and physical needs of the Pokot people. Julius and Rachel Murgor work with the Pokot people of northwest Kenya. This ministry has been reaching more and more of this people group each year for many years. The primary emphasis is to bring the Gospel to each Pokot, through evangelistic services under trees in the bush, establishing churches and training indigenous leaders and pastors.
