Nepal and India
THIS TEAM IS FULL. This team will travel to two of our global partners - Nepal and India. During the Nepal portion of the trip they will be working with girls from local villages who are at-risk of being trafficked by providing leadership/empowerment skills, encouraging the girls to continue with their education and updating girls who are already part of the NoChild sponsorship program. The team will also have the opportunity to visit and encourage the staff of our partner in Nepal. They will then travel to India where the team will be connecting with the children of the Grace Children's Home (GCH), updating the children’s sponsorship information and photos, and be an encouragement to the CEM staff. Sponsors may have the opportunity to visit with their sponsored children in both Nepal and India (contingent upon several factors).

The trafficking of women and children for sexual exploitation is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world. Independent research indicates that up to 40,000 girls are trafficked each year from Nepal to India to work in brothels within India and throughout the Middle East. Kensington is partnering with a local NGO to rescue girls being trafficked and to transform communities with the gospel. The team will also be working with Christ's Evangelical Mission (CEM) which was started with calling and vision of a young man named B. Jaya Sankar who was graciously saved out of Hinduism. God gave Jaya a vision for reaching the most desperately needy people in his state of Andhra Pradesh with Christ's love by planting churches among them. CEM was formed to facilitate both church planting efforts and to care for the great humanitarian need which surrounded Andhra Pradesh.
